Parents choose one or more option:
- Block iMessage, AirDrop and FaceTime on my child’s iPad during the school year.
- Block access to the App Store and delete non-academic apps on my child’s iPad during the school year.
- I do not want Holy Family School to set any additional restrictions on my child’s iPad.
Each option is explained in more detail below.
- Block iMessage, AirDrop and FaceTime on my child’s iPad during the school year.
- iMessage is Apple's means of "free" text communication. iMessages can be sent between any Apple devices that have the iMessage app.
- AirDrop is enables users to transfer files to another supported Mac computer and iOS mobile device without using email or a mass storage device.
- Facetime enables users to make video calls over Wi-Fi from their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac to someone else's Apple device.
- Choosing this option blocks these services from your child's iPad until the end of the school year.
- Block access to the App Store and delete non-academic apps on my child’s iPad during the school year.
- This option prohibits students from downloading apps. All non-academic apps such as games would be deleted. All deleted apps can be reloaded at the end of the school year when App Store access is unblocked.
- I do not want Holy Family School to set any additional restrictions on my child’s iPad.
- Choose this option if you do not wish to have additional restrictions set on your child's iPad.
