Remember- always keep your iPad safe from harm or theft. These devices are very valuable and can be targets for thieves. Do not leave your iPad unattended - EVER! Do not hide it in a public area, thinking no one will take it. Chances are, someone will. Always carry your iPad or place it in the direct care of a trusted adult. If in doubt, carry it in your shoulder bag. DO NOT LEAVE IT UNATTENDED. EVER! Hello 5th and 8th graders,
The keyboards have finally arrived! Your keyboard has been asset tagged (the barcode label on the back side of the keyboard) and numbered. DO NOT REMOVE ANY of the stickers on the keyboard. The wired keyboard plugs into your lightning port. If the keyboard doesn’t work, try unplugging it and plugging it back in. The boxes contain instructions, please read them. There are special keys at the top of the keyboard. Check the instructions to learn what these shortcut keys do with the iPad. You may take the keyboards home in their boxes today. Keep the boxes, or throw them away, at home. Tomorrow, bring them to school. Carry them in the back zippered pocket of your iPad carrying bag. The keyboards will stick out of the top of the bag. Be sure to carry them vertically with the shoulder strap. Make sure the bags stay dry. If it is raining, please be sure the keyboards do not get wet. You may wish to use your own carrying bag with shoulder strap (look for ones made for small laptops- but check the dimensions before purchasing!) The minimum dimensions needed for the iPads in Otterboxes and keyboards are: 8” x 12” x 2.” I highly recommend cases with padding. They must have shoulder straps. Check Amazon.com for good deals. You may return the school-issued carrying bag to me or keep it at home until the end of the year as a backup bag. Remember to treat them with care. Keep them in the carrying bag when not in use. Enjoy your keyboards! |
